PROJECT ENGINEERS

• Junior thru Senior Project engineers responsible for the design and project management of oil and gas processing facilities, compressor stations and gathering systems.
• B.Sc. Degree in Engineering and P. Eng Registration with APEGGA.
• 2 -15 years applicable experience.
• Operations experience a definite asset.

DESIGN DRAFTSPERSONS

• Junior to Senior Design draftspersons responsible for the design and drafting of various oil and gas projects including oil and gas processing facilities, compressor stations and gathering systems.
• 3 -15 years applicable experience in all aspects of design drafting for P&ID’s, Iso’s, Piping, Layouts etc.
• Proficient with Auto-Cad drafting software.

INTERMEDIATE ELECTRICAL DESIGNER

Preliminary Design

• Provide input into project feasibility
• Review PFDs and PIDs
• Prepare preliminary electrical load and equipment lists.
• Create electrical MTOs (Material Take Off) and labor estimates (Manhour Estimates).
• Assist in preparation of regulatory permit applications
• Assist in the creation/updating of project schedules
• Site visits (typcially day trips) to determine current conditions

Detailed Design

• Prepare electrical single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, panel schedules, building layouts and junction box layouts
• Calculating voltage drop, cable sizing, conduit sizing and breaker/fuse sizing
• Designing Heat trace, PLC and contactor panels
• Knowledge of instrumentation would be an asset
• Experience with SKM (or ETAP) would be an asset
• Some experience with AutoCAD would be an asset
• Client meetings and regular contact with vendors/suppliers/contractors
• Procurement and expediting of electrical equipment. This may include technical drawing evaluation/recommendation.
• Document and drawing filing/management
• Prepare electrical DBM (Design Basis Memorandum) and/or SOW (Scope of Work)

Commissioning

• Provide design support during construction including field visits/meetings and inspection
• Participate in electrical commissioning activities

Experience/Background:

• 2-4 years previous experience in an EPCM company
• Electrical technologist or technician diploma preferred

INTERMEDIATE ELECTRICAL DRAFTER

• Working closely with the in-house engineering/design team to fit the needs of our clients by providing drafting services
• Producing quality drawing packages utilizing in-house drawing/drafting standards and/or specific client standards and procedures
• Preparing key plans, cable tray layouts, equipment layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), panel schedules, heat trace layouts, cable schedules, wiring diagrams and sketches for review, construction and as-built drawing packages
• Knowledge of electrical symbols
• Performing various calculations and providing technical assistance to the project design team would be an asset
• Experience with AutoCAD 2010 is essential and experience with AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation would be an asset
• Some document/drawing control and filing will be required.
• Ability to work independently

JUNIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

• Contact vendors, suppliers, develop purchase order.
• self motivated, client focused and able to work in a fast paced team environment.
• Ability to multi task
• Personable

Experience/Background:

• 2-4 years previous experience in an EPCM company
• Electrical Engineering Degree
• Member of APEGGA
